OSHA29CFR1910.146(g) OSTI trainers provide a comprehensive overview, covering types of confined spaces and reasons for entering confined spaces. We cover hazardous atmospheres and general safety hazards which include mechanical, communication problems, entry and exit, and physical conditions. Our hands on approach to Confined Space Rescue provides our clients with actual rescues utilizing an evacuation tripod and rescue winch.

CONFINED SPACE ENTRY/ATTENDANT/ RESCUE
Course Outline
Prerequisites:
- This course shall have no formal pre-requisite. However, the student should have been designated a competent person for this supervisory level of training.
Course Length: 12 hours - Course length shall vary depending on the number of students. Total course time does not include breaks.
Class Size: The maximum number of students that may be trained and tested per instructor shall be thirty – five (35) in the classroom session and twenty (20) in the practical session.
Course Objective:
Confined Space Entry Supervisor training is intended for individuals who will be supervising employees designated to work inside confined spaces or employees acting as a confined space attendant. Supervisors need to know the hazards associated with confined spaces, be aware of control measures, and know when and how to evacuate a confined space when problems arise.
- To provide Supervisors assigned to manage confined space entry/attendant employees the necessary skills to safely perform their jobs.
- To provide students with recommended practices and guidelines to perform safely while working within confined spaces and allied supervisory considerations.
- Students will be given the knowledg
e and taught these skills in a classroom and practical setting.
- Students should be able to demonstrate these necessary skills during practical examination and demonstrate knowledge during written examination.

Successful Course Completion
- Requires a minimum score of 70% or better, unless otherwise specified by the student’s employer.
- Students will have no more than (45) minutes to complete the exam.
- Grades shall be calculated by dividing the number of questions answered correctly by the total number of exam questions (20).
- Successful completion of practical sessions is also mandatory.

Practical Session:
Practical training shall be limited to twenty (20) students per class before a second instructor is added and shall be documented using the Confined Space Practical Checklist. Students shall be placed in teams of two when demonstrating skills.
- The ability to wear appropriate PPE during practical session.
- Ability to inspect and identify damaged hardware / PPE
